As long as I'm here, though, I might as well explain a little bit about who I am and what I'm doing here. I'm a professional statistician, armchair economist, and an amateur D&D enthusiast. The last of those qualities is probably going to have the greatest impact on this blog.
Appendix N was all about the various things that Gary Gygax read that inspired D&D. This blog is going to be about the various things that I have read, some of them very far afield from traditional epic fantasy territory, and how they can be gameified and stolen from in order to make D&D games more interesting.
